She is a specialist in participatory visual methods and photovoice with over 20 years\u2019 experience working on projects all over the world. As Co-Founder and former Co-Director of the award-winning UK charity PhotoVoice, she pioneered ethical practice in participatory image-making. Her academic research focuses on arts-based peacebuilding and the role of images and image-making in building peace and dialogue. She completed her PhD in Visual Sociology at Goldsmiths College London and has been published widely. Her work has been recognised with various awards, including the Royal Photographic Society\u2019s Hood Medal for outstanding advance in photography for public service and a Leverhulme Fellowship. Born where Nicephore Niepce took the first world photograph and raised in Arles with Les Rencontres de la Photographie, she then graduated from London College of Communication in Professional Photography Practice &amp; Video Production and later in Social Anthropology from Birkbeck University. After working with PhotoVoice, she founded <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fotosynthesiscommunity.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fotosynthesis,<\/a> a social enterprise expert in participatory audiovisual processes, audiovisual education, ethics, and production. She is also an associate of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insightshare.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Insightshare<\/a>, a leading company in participatory video.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.0&#8243;
