El campo comenz\u00f3 de manera informal en 1991, despu\u00e9s de que miles de rohiny\u00e1s huyeron de la violenta persecuci\u00f3n \u00e9tnica y religiosa en la vecina Myanmar, y se ha expandido dram\u00e1ticamente en las d\u00e9cadas posteriores, albergando ahora a m\u00e1s de 900.000 refugiados, a medida que el ej\u00e9rcito birmano ha intensificado sus brutales medidas represivas y extensos ataques contra los rohiny\u00e1 de Myanmar en el estado de Rakhine.<\/p>\n<p>Descritos por las Naciones Unidas como la minor\u00eda m\u00e1s perseguida del mundo, los rohiny\u00e1s se enfrentan a una vida dif\u00edcil y restringida en los campos. Es un miembro joven del colectivo Rohingyatographer. Sostiene una fotograf\u00eda suya tomada en 2017, cuando ten\u00eda 8 a\u00f1os, llorando desesperadamente mientras se sub\u00eda a un cami\u00f3n de ayuda. La imagen, tomada por el fot\u00f3grafo canadiense Kevin Frayer, fue preseleccionada como una de las 100 mejores fotograf\u00edas por la revista Time en 2017 y gan\u00f3 un premio Pulitzer. Hasson naci\u00f3 sordomudo. Ha desarrollado su propio y notable lenguaje de gestos para comunicarse con los dem\u00e1s. Su forma l\u00fadica y creativa de expresarse le ha hecho muy popular entre sus amigos. Su madre falleci\u00f3 el d\u00eda que dio a luz y \u00e9l fue criado por sus t\u00edos. Muchos j\u00f3venes refugiados tienen un fuerte compromiso de aprender habilidades por s\u00ed mismos y de ense\u00f1ar a otros. La revista sirve como una plataforma creativa para que los j\u00f3venes rohiny\u00e1 desarrollen sus habilidades fotogr\u00e1ficas, construyan un sentido de identidad, mantengan viva su cultura e historia y se conecten con forasteros.
